Josh was walking down Diagon alley streets, step by step noticing familiar and unfamiliar faces as more and more students walked by."Ugh, how come today of all days all these kids have to be out here getting their texts? Why can't they come on a day I'm not here?" He mumbled bumping into a couple of first years on purpose without saying a word.
With a frown of frustration on his face he walked in and out of stores coming out with more books in hand and then tossing them into the sack on his back. He continued walking around as bored as ever and stopped as he scanned the large crowd for someone he knew and could get along with.

Finally Cécile's book list had arrived by owl that morning, and naturally her mother had ushered her out of the house as soon as possible. There was still a day left until they were back to school, but it didn't stop her mother getting into a panic and flustering about just about everything. No matter how dignified and proper she appeared in public, her daughter knew the truth about Isabella Black. Smiling slightly she ducked out of a doorway and cut a line through the bustling crowd.
People stepped out of her way as soon as they saw her, either out of fear as they recognised her or out of awe, she had the uncanny knack of drawing attention from everywhere, which unfortunately meant some people had halted and were causing congestion in the alley. Tossing her blonde hair she glanced down at her list, it was all simple and straightfoward, the purchasing should take no more than a few minutes, as long as she could find them that was. Spotting a familiar brown head she curled her lips into a more obvious smile. "Bonjour Josh," she purred as she neared his side.

Josh stood looking all around him for any familiar faces before school started the next day. He looked over his sholder, and then back in front of him. Out of no where here came Cecile De Volanges beside him saying "bonjuor Josh." Josh turned to his side and smiled "Hello Cecile." There was no one else in the world Josh could get along with as good as Cecile.
Though she may not have felt the same, Josh felt that Cecile was one of his good friends.,Seeing as how he is slytherin, and is pretty mean at times, she is actually one of the few friends he had. But if he ever needed anything or got into some kind of trouble, he always knew who to go to, Cecile. "How are you on this boring day?" He said laughing a little.

Dodging the last remnants of the crowd, she twirled slightly and came to a stop beside him, her full lips curled in her ever familiar smile. Reaching up onto her toes she leant forward and pulled him into a loose but friendly hug, they were after all quite close in Cécile's books, she had few real friends in her house, it didn't surprise her, she was the first to admit what a manipulative snob she was at times.
"Ze day is boring? Why eet 'az only just begun Josh," a sense of mischeif danced in her green eyes as she surveyed him. He was exactly the same as she had remembered, somewhat like the male version of herself. "I take eet you 'av received your book leest too?" Cocking her head to oneside she gave another small enquiring smile.

He smiled as she pulled him in a friendly hug and he patter her back and replyed "Well, yes the day is very boring, all I had to do today was sleep and come here to get these supplies from this list my dad gave me. He gave me the list forever ago I just had no motivation to come pick up the books. But what are you up to?" He asked jokingly, but curiously, as she said it has only just begun.
"Yeah, like I said.." he added, "I got the list, but I still wish we had a few more days of summer.." He checked off something on the list, "So, you want me to help you get your books?" He asked curiously with a smile on his face.

Stepping back again she smoothed her dress before meeting his eyes again. "Sounds fun dahrling," her voice sounded like a drawl once more, a side effect of her French accent. "Muzzer sent me for my books and anytheeng else I can find," a soft tinkling laugh left her lips at this, no doubt Cécile would find something to catch her fancy while shopping, and no doubt she would buy it. "I 'av no objection to shopping zo."
Rolling her eyes she touched his arm jokily "You mean zat you are not looking forward to being under my power Josh," she was proud to be a prefect, though she was a bit laz with her duties when it came to housemates. Stepping past him towards the book shop she smiled. "I zink I can allow you to help me yes."

He laughed when she added the remark "Yes suprisingly, actually I am looking forward to being under your power." He laughed a little. He followed her toward the shop and running a little to get beside her. keeping the conversation flowing he added "How was your summer anyway Cecile? It couldn't have been as bad and boring as mine." he grunted.(( sorry for the shortness I have writters block ))

Another laugh escaped her at his words, both of them knew very well Cécile would not be enforcing any rules when she was around Josh, but it was fun to tease. Hopping up the step to the shop she reached for the door, ladies first and all that. Pushing open the door she held it for him, waiting for him to follow. "My holiday was... pleasant," her mind wandered back to her trip to france and how surprised she had been to meet four fellow students in the little restaurant her family owned. "We went back to France to viseet my familé," smiling still she looked back at him. "And why was your holiday zat bad Josh?"

"Well," He said thinking, "There was nothing to do, it was so boring at home, this is pretty much my home anyway because it's so much better here." He smiled and walked into the door,"Thanks." He said laughing at her remark. "How is France anyway? And your family?" He asked curiously. They were such good friends he was suprised he hadn't asked her that before. But he put his hands in his pockets to listen to her.

Pouting at him in mocking sympathy she met his eyes, hers dancing in amusement. "Poor babee," she drawled, entering the darkened shop and sweeping it with her gaze. As she had predicated it was full to bursting with students of various ages, all clambouring to find books they wanted. Frowning she shook her head, this wouldn't do. Looking for an assistant she walked over, this was where her name and veela blood came in handy. After a few words, the man rushed off, Cécile's book list in his hand and her order for two of everything dripping from his lips. Smiling again she turned to him. "My family ees wonferful zankyou, and France waz as always... beautiful," a rather dreamy expression crossed her face as she remembered her home in the sprawling hills of France. Snapping back to attention she smiled again. "'Ow iz your farzur?"

"Oh" Josh said, "He's OK, he's looking forward to coming back to Hogwarts. He says your his favorite student." He said winking and nudging her arm. But he knew that she knew he was joking. "Anyway, You are taking his class this year right? Because if you are I'll be in there with you." He smiled and added "Plus I take that class because it's the first one I got to and since I don't sleep late enough at night I'll go to sleep in his class and he won't say anything, and I just go home and ask him what we studied that day. He gets mad at me sometimes though, but I just let him get over it." He said not feeling guilty one bit.

Catching the wink she laughed again, Cécile was every teachers favourite student and every students worst enemy, well if they weren't in Hogwarts or gave her a reason not to make their lives hell. Being a prefect only made it easier. "Oz course I am taking hees class, I zink 'e would murder me if I deed not. We weel be hees favourite students togezur." Another laugh escaped her at his words. "Ahh taking liberties are we Mr. Musashi," her voice was a drawl again as she met his eyes mischeivously. "Next time be sure to inform me and I will join you."

"Will do." He said winking as the man came back with a ton of books in hand. Josh stood there and watched the man struggle not once thinking about helping him. "You think you got em?" He yelled as the man almost fell over. Josh laughed at him and looked back at Cecile, "whats next?" He asked and put in his pockets showing the man he didn't intend on helping him out.

Noticing the man return she gave him a pleasant but charming smile, ignoring his struggling, he couldn't possibly expect her to help him. An enquiring look was all the was necessary for him to stumble towards a nearby fire place. Opening her purse she pulled out a slip of parchment with her address neatly printed on it. Handing it to him she smiled again. "'Av zem sent 'ere pleaze," she drawled before turning on her heels and leading Josh from the shop. Once back outside she paused, giving the crowd a disgusted look. "Your choice, anyzing you need?"

Josh laughed as she handed him the slip and said send it to that address. He really had no reason to laugh it was just how she said it. Then she ushered him outside and he replied to her quesiton "Nope nothing I need, that's all you had to get?" He asked curiously. He had to go to multiple shops, and she went to one. He asked "What'ca wanna do now?" He asked looking around at all the other students.
