The rain was pouring down, coming down so hard that it looked like just a sheet of grey. The clouds were impossible to see as they blended in with the rain, a steely grey color. Few people were at the train station. Few, but the couple hundred students that came tfrom Hogwarts.
One of these students was Andarial Featherstone. A fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witch Craft and Wizardry. She had no umbrella or jacket and so was soaked to the bone, not wearing the proper clothes for any type of England weather, though she usually could handle the cold beacause she didn't really feel the cold. But the rain, she loved it when she was inside reading a book and drinking hot coacoa, but hated it when she was outside in it.She was much like a cat.Right now she wore a white wifebeater and black tight jeans. Not the right clothes at all. One could even see her white lacey bra through her shirt. She didn't care, let others think wha they think, she had other things to do.
Making sure Shane's, her little rat's, cage was covered so he couln't get wet, Andee pushed her cart towards the barrier and leaned nonchalantly against it. She slipped through it without anyone the wiser. There was the scarlet steam egine, the Hogwarts Express!
Wiping her sopping black hair from her eyes, Andarial approached the the train. Andee chose the last car and lifted/dragged her trunk onto the train, along with Shane. As soon as everything was stowed away, in the middle compartment she let Shane out and he hurried onto her shoulder, cuddling against her sheek and shivering.
She was heading home

The station seemed abnormally busy as the petite blonde girl strode elegantly through the crowd. IT always was on this certain day, though none of the muggles seemed to have a logical explanation for it. A boarding school perhaps? No doubt if they did know the truth it would blow those tiny little brains of theres. Suddenly the blonde girl paused and whirled around, hands flying to her hips as her green eyes met strangers. There was supposed to be her family behind her, and her butler. Where had they gone?
"If zey lose my theengs," she fumed under her breath, her french accent as prominent as ever. Piercing eyes sweeping through the crowd of people, they finally found what they were looking off. "Finally," she breathed before once again turning on her heel and making her way towards a seemingly blank wall where two signs hung. One said Platform 9, and the other 10. Pausing only momentarily, she tossed her locks and rearranged the soft blue berret on her head. An unnecessary reminder to her fellow students that she was a former french girl.
Head held high, the girl disappeared from sight. If anyone had been watching it would have been one of those things that made you shake your head and screw up your eyes, or else book an appointment with a psychiatrist. Once through the barrier, Cécile's eyess were met with a familiar sight. The billowing clouds of steam from a lond gleaming scarlet train. A smile curled her full lips as she scanned the crowds for someone she knew, waiting for her family to join her on the platform.

Meanwhile, Rehx had just figured out how to get through the barrier. There he stood, gawking at the large train. "Wow...that's...that's amazing!" His left eye starting picking up heat signatures immediatly, high amounts of it coming from the main part of the train itself. "Wow..." He looked around at all the other students, noticing a few older ones immediatly from their height. Disappointed, he scanned the area for any first years such as himself.

Shane had gotten loose. It wasn't like him to run, but all the noises of the train and the crowd of students had always scared him. And just when Andee had started getting warm too. She chased him out into the rain and pushed through the crowd. Fearful that he would get stepped on.
Then she lost him. Oh gods! What would she do without Shane?! She knew he was a smart rat and could live out on his own, but could she live without him? She had no friends besides him! He was her best friend, that may sound weird but it was true, she never had anyone else to talk t. No one else understood her.
Then she saw a black furred thingin the distance, running right towards a blonde girl. Andee knew her, she was a sixth year and a prefect but she knew not her name. But that didn't matter now. Andarial peeled off after Shane as he began to crawl up her leg.
"I'm so sorry," she panted to the girl, holding out her hand for Shane.

Rehx couldn't contain his laughter at the events that were unfolding in front of him. However, he managed to stifle them quickly, just in case anyone was looking. The salamander in his pocket squirmed slightly, and Rehx petted it to calm it. "Shh...not yet, Dyne." The movement stopped, and Rehx looked up to watch the chaos insue.

So far she had been unsuccessful at finding anyone she really recognised, but the subject was pushed from her mind as she felt something scrambling around her ankles. Turning her green eyes towards the floor she froze for a moment, before a piecing shriek was ripped from her throat. "Oh my god," she cried, stepping backwards fro mthe furry black shape. "Get away from me," she shrieked again, distress and anger clearly evident on her pretty features.
She was about to pull back her leg and fling the creature forcefully from her when a girl ran towards her, and began to reach for the rodent. Eyes flashing dangerously she looked at a girl, she was from Cécile's house but was younger than her. "Ezen zo school has not yet begun, I owt to 'av zat theeng locked away," she fumed, her voice sharp and scolding. The girl wasn't usually off when it came to housemates, but she was not a fan of rodents, or anything similar. From behind she heard her small toy maltese bark furiously, signalling her parents arrival. Scooping the little dog up she looked back at the rat in disgust.
Hearing a boys laughter she turned on him, giving him a look she reserved for prefect duties. "You theenk zat is funny do you?"

"Honestly, I thought it was hilarious." Rehx admitted. "It's been awhile since I've seen something like that." In truth, pranks like those were very common at his old boarding school. I guess I'll miss them... He turned his attention back to the girl. "Anyway, I'm sorry. I'm new."

Andarial scooped Shane into her arms and cuddled him to her soaking wet chest. He was shivering in both cold and fear. She kissed his forehead and cooed soothingly to him. Shane looked at her with beady black eyes, love in them and rubbed his head on her chin.
Forest green eyes snapped up as soon as she insulted Shane. Telling Andee that he should be locked away. She growled low in her throat and narrowed her eyes at the prefect. So what if she was a prefect! School hadn't even started! Defiance shown in her eyes and she brought herself up to her full height and towered over her. Anger making her even seem taller. "Personally I think that, that thing should locked away somewhere cold and dank," Andee said furiously pointing to the maltese a sneer on her beautiful face. "It's a disgrace to dogs everywhere!"
She turned to the boy, "Yes, do you think it's funny that Shane, my rat, was almost killed?!"

Rexh took a hesitant step back. "Hey! It meant nothing!" Something scrried across his chest and to his shoulder. "Ah! Dyne! I said stay in my pocket!" The little salamander didn't move, and Rehx just sighed. "Really, I was just laughing 'cause it was funny at the time. Jeez..."

There were few times an expression that was less than charming and pleasant graced Cécile's equisite features, but this was one of those moments she found necessary. Gripping the small dog tightly, she stopped her from lunging at the rodent. Snarling she turned to the girl, eyes equally as green matching hers. Biting back her tongue, she merely glared before laughing at the sight of the girl drawing up to her full height. "Iz zat supposed to scare me leetle girl?" it didn't matter that the girl was only the year younger, Cécile was patronising to all ages.
"Next time I see that rodent out of eets cage, I weel not hesitate to inform a profezzur," with that she turned to the boy and snarled at him. "New or not, you should show your elders respect, especially those of us who 'av the power to giz you detention."

Rehx resisted a growl. Stay calm...stay calm. He spun around, and looked at the girl with the rat. "Um...yeah...so." His left eye sparked a slight red tone to it, and he quickly shut it. God...did it just go X-ray on me? He opened it slightly, and slammed it shut again. Yup...

Reaching the platform Jamie held to her cart tightly wth one hand, her other supporting her hunover mother, Kristine. Her mother's last name had never been uttered. The woman had been a wreck for sixteen years and no one found that subject to change. "Mum, you have to work today. Hear me?" Jamie asked, patting her mom's face as she propped her up against her cart. "I'm not coming home for holidays this year. I'm leaving." Jamie told her mother, knowing full well a howler was on it's way to Hogwarts to yell at Jamie for attending.
With all the drama with her mother Jamie had not noticed anyone around her.

"Go ahead and inform the 'profezzur'," Andee said defiantly, knowing she was likely setting herself up for trouble later. "Shane has every right to be out his cage than any cat, dog or owl. He was all last year and never left the common room, you just apprently never noticed." She rose her eyebrows in a mocking manner.
As the boy turned to her she looked expectantly at him. Shane had moved to her shoulder and had wrapped his tail around her neck, one of his favorite positions. Then the boy... ew, winked at her? That's what it seemed like. What a weird first year.

It was not the first time that day someone had sunk so low as to impersonate her accent, and as usual Cécile reacted with nothing but disdain and a condescending look. "Iz zat all you 'av to do? Imitate me? Well I find eet razer childeesh," a smug look crossed her features as the girl did what she no doubt thought was a good show of standing up for herself. Laughing lightly she shook her head, "I apologise, next time I weel be sure to notice such a vile creature running around and weel not 'esitate to rid our quarters of it."
Ignoring the little boy she heard a familiar voice and turned, her mouth curling into a smile totally different to any other, this one tinged with spitefulness. "If eet isn't Aunty Kristine, 'ow are you two today?"

Rexh turned to the other girl, the one with the accent. "Listen...I don't care if you are a prefect, if you ever call any animal vile other than yourself, then I'll have to hurt you, magic or no magic." Uh...oh...I did it again... His left eye had a slight reddish hue to it, and he was looking at a half-naked Slytherin that could possibly kill him in the next minute. A slight smirk grew on his face, They always said to imagine the person you're standing up to as naked...this works.
