About You
Name: Nicole
Anything Else: I hope to publish a book in the near future.
The Character
Name: Charlene McGee
Nickname: Charly
Age: 32
Gender: Female
Former House: Slytherin
Job: Ancient Runes Professor and Head of Slytherin House (Hopefully)
History: Charly grew up in the usual pureblood fashion - thinking muggles and mudbloods were beneath her. Her family was wealthy and provided everything for their spoiled only daughter. She had everything she could ever ask for, but it never went to her head.
In school, she had a few close friends and many aquaintances. Though she was a Slytherin, she mingled with students from others houses as well. In fact, she was well-liked by many of her peers. It wasn't because she was overly-friendly; it was because she treated everyone with a common respect.
She recieved top marks in Ancient Runes and seemed to have a strange way with the creatures - dangerous or otherwise. Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts were close seconds and transfiguration was third. History of Magic wasn't even on the list.
Personality: She is respectful to all those earn it and nice to the few who prove themselves worthy of her kindness. She is never rude and considers it the height of dishonor to betray one's manners. Etiquitte is everything.
Although she is pureblood, she doesn't play favorites with other purebloods. She treats everyone the same and makes them all earn her respect. Many like her just because of her calm nature and air of cleverness. She doesn't get angry often, but when she does, she is usually good at hiding it. Unsightly emotions should be hidden in her opinion.
Appearance: [One Paragraph]She has a porcelain complexion that appears creamy and smooth. Her eyes are a bright green with long lashes. Long, dark locks fall, curling, to her back. She is thin and tall, but not in an unattractive way. Her figure is elegant and gentle.
Picture:
Other: She has Black=Blanded Owl named Antius. Her wand is made of yew wood and has a dragon heartstring core. It's nine and one half inches long.
Role-Play Sample: [This section must be at least 200 words, and can be any random, non-board related excerpt that involves the character][I'll be pretending I'm a professor for this one.]Charly stepped to the front of the class of third years and clasped her hands together before speaking to them.[20]
"Welcome, Third Years," she greeted. "I know most of you are worried about losing limbs in my class, but allow me to assure you that this will not happen. I take my job incredibly seriously and I will make sure no harm befalls you. All you need to do is follow my rules and we'll all do fine."[78]
She paused for a moment and looked around at their faces. A few looked slightly bored - they had probably heard similar speeches from other teachers. Others appeared fascinated, though nothing terribly exciting had been said yet. She continued.[107]
"Rule number one - do as I say," she announced. "If I tell you to hop on one foot and cluck like a chicken, I want you to do it the moment the words leave my mouth. Rule number two - respect your fellow students. I won't tolerate any bullying or taunting. Disobey this rule and be prepared to spend the rest of your term in detention, cleaning up Drooble's Best Blowing Gum from off of desks in every classroom in the castle."[188]
Here a few of the students pulled repulsed faces - mostly girls. None of them laughed however. They all saw that she was serious.[211]
