House: Slytherin
Blood Status: Pure
Pet (if any): None
Wand Info (wood, core, length): Myrtlewood, phoenix feather, slender, thirteen inches
Patronus: She cannot cast a Patronus as of yet, but if she could, it would take on the form of a panther.
Celebrity photo:
Celebrity Claim: Cristina Scabbia
Physical appearance:
Roxanne is 5'8", slightly above average height for most girls her age, and weighs in at 112lb. Her comparatively slender figure is down to her lifestyle, and to a lesser extent, genetics. Overall, she is fairly slim, with a few curves; her legs are her only body parts to have developed any muscle tone.
The shape of Roxanne's face is somewhat angular and sharp. Any expression that doesn't consist of a frown or arrogant smirk looks extremely out of place on her. Her eyes are distinctively slanted, giving them an almost cat-like appearance, and sparkle in contrast to her long, jet- black hair. These physical traits earned her the nickname 'Panther' from her (now deceased) father.
Character History:
Mother
Maiden name: Avari Actaeus
Blood status: Pure
Hogwarts House: Slytherin
Deceased- murdered at the age of 30, by Roxanne Orestes
Father
Name: Jack Orestes
Blood status: Pure
Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw
Deceased - died at the age of 31 (it is very unclear as to whether he died as a result of alcohol abuse, or if he was killed in cold blood)
Avari Actaeus and Jack Orestes first met in their seventh year of Hogwarts, a few years after the end of the Great War. Their romance was almost whirlwind: they married a mere six months after meeting, and a year later their daughter, Roxanne Avari Orestes, was born.
Growing up, Roxanne witnessed things that her childlike mind was too young to understand the implications of. Her father was an extremely domineering and possessive man, particularly when it came to his wife. Although he was never physically abusive towards Avari (as far as Roxanne knew), he was what an outsider would deem 'cruel and mentally abusive' towards her. However, Roxanne, not knowing any better, assumed this was the way all relationships with other people - romantic or platonic - worked. You either told people what to do, or you did what you were told without question. Seeing her mother shake with fear every time her father entered the room was the norm for Roxanne, and she soon reached the conclusion that her mother must be 'weak'. She vowed that never would she be the 'weak' member in her group of friends. Bullying and coercion of her peers became a typical part of her daily routine: she could never quite understand why other people constantly reprimanded her for 'being horrible'. She assumed they must be 'weak', too.
At the age of 10, Roxanne stumbled upon her mother kissing another man. In a fit of frenzied, unparalleled rage at her mother's betrayal of her husband, she grabbed a nearby knife, ran at the two and murdered them both. Soon realising what she had done, she panicked and ran throughout the house, calling for her father. She soon found him: slumped in a chair, surrounded by empty bottles, having drowned himself in alcohol. Roxanne's survival instinct kicked in and she fled from the house, not wanting to get caught or relive any of what had taken place there.
Life on the streets was tough for Roxanne, and she was taken under the wing of a shady underground organisation. A mixture of small-time criminals, expert hitmen and a few vampires, she impressed them with her willingness to kill on command and her detached view of reality. She would be called upon for the odd assassin job or two, providing her with enough money to live in a cheap hostel. This was her lifestyle for a number of years, until she dcided to attend Hogwarts in order to hone her magical abilities.
Personality
The events of Roxanne's life have left her with a distorted view of reality, and a skewered sense of what constitutes 'right' and 'wrong'. The killing of other people during her time on the street, whether it be out of self-defence, or for a more sinister purpose, was a way of life she revelled in. It allowed her to display her strength and quick-thinking, and gave her a sennse of unparalelled power. Like her father before her, she is coercive and often sadistic, seeing no problem with using others to achieve her own ends. She despises authority and being told what to do, yet has no problem with issuing orders herself.
Roxanne is extremely distrustful of the motives of other people. The infidelity of her mother destroyed her faith in other people completely, and she is near-paranoid about letting herself get too close to others. Any people she meets she makes sure to wrap firmly around her litle finger, either through charm and seduction or through flat-out intimidation.

The steady clip-clop of heels echoed through the dark night-time street. Completely deserted save for one person: a hooded figure, a young girl by the name of Roxanne Orestes. Any other girl - indeed, any other person - would've been scared to death of venturing out into the night; these were the kind of people that Roxanne absolutley despised.
Roxanne glanced around covertly before drawing her travelling cloak tighter over her jumper - had to do something to hid the blood-stains covering it, after all. Her mind flashed back to the night's assignment: a dispute between one of her acquaintances and a greedy old man had gone on for too long, and Roxanne had been asked to go and 'take care of things'. Her quarry hadn't even realised somebody else was in the room with him until Roxanne's knife had slit his fleshy throat. Not that he would've been able to do anything to defend himself, an overweight, bald-headed Muggle man. Roxanne rolled her eyes. 'Typical. Greedy, fat, Muggle scum.' It seemed all her victims fell under that category these days. They were an easy target, which was convenient for her, but there was no real fun in it.
Dawn was drawing ever closer, and Roxanne knew she couldn't afford to be seen. She quickened her pace into a trot and hastily approached the door of a small, dilapidated-looking home. She rapped the door smartly, then sighed impatiently and leaned against the frame, waiting for one of her 'colleagues' to answer. Somehow she couldn't see this night's kill being worth anything more than a few measly Knuts.
Oh, and: 'if you look like P.A. or Scratter the penises will run'. Heh. XD
