Naturally the only place for someone like Cécile was the end carriage, even though she was a prefect. Though she had little intentions for engaging in anything Prefect related, it wouldn't take much charm to wiggle her way out of it. Reaching out with one slender arm she drew back the compartment door and slipped inside, the family help followed her, tucking her trunks silently into the luggage racks, he had long ago given up on asking why Cécile needed so much luggage, as the answer was always rather frosty.
With a small bow and a 'have a god year Miss Cécile' he was gone, closing the door behind him and leaving her in peace. When he had disappeared, she flicked her long curls from her face and mused silently for a moment, wondering flippantly where to sit, she didn't want to get travel sick. Dropping down onto one of the bench's finally she crossed her legs, and back straight, settled in for the long and tedious journey.

Quietly and slightly irritated Jamie made her rounds on the train. It'd been a long day tryig to get her hungover mother into the car to come to the Station. Her mother worked at King's Cross, hence why Jamie made sure she come. It wasn't the easiest thing in the world saying goodbye when Jamie knew her mom would probably just get back in the car and head home.
Opening doors and checking on people Jamie hardly noticed her cousin at first until she looked in front of her to open it. "Well, as long as you're enjoying herself." She smirked, not finishing the sentence. For some reason it'd always been an insult between the two.

Green eyes lazily examining the scenery outside, she ignored the sound of students bustling around, going about their business and every so often stopping to stare and whisper about her. When the sound of the carriage door sliding open met her eyes, she turned her head quickly, about to tell whoever it was to get out immediately, this compartment was private.
When she saw who it was her hostile expression dissolved into one of smarmy pleasure. "Well well, if eet eesn't my favourite couzin," tossing her hair as she always did, she swept her gaze up and down the girl. Her mother had said something about spotting Jamie and her Mother at the station, but it had not interested Cécile who was frankly ashamed to be related to the family. "Enjoying your prefect duties are we?"

"My mentality is just capable of performing my Prefect duties...daaaling." Jamie drawled out daaling, knowing it would spit in her cousin's pea soup was there any. The two had it in for each other. Jamie had never had any desire to share with her cousin of the fortune her father had hidden for the two. It was not a matter that Jamie didn't know who her father was anymore, she'd taken that in stride, figuring it was a permanent mystery in her life. "Enjoying laziness as usual?" Leaning against the doorframe in a very unladylike way Jamie awaited a spiteful comment from her prudish cousin.

As always when she dealt with her less than savoury cousin, a polite but patronising smile hung from her lips, the expression in her eyes something similar to sympathy. "Did you get zat from your muzzer dear? Acting out for attention," the expression turned slightly malicious at this, Cécile was more than familiar with the girls mothers habbits, no doubt she had been too intoxicated to even know her daughter had disappeared. The imitation of her accent fazed her little, after around ten years of such a thing, she was used to the childish behaviour. "I see your insults 'av not developed seence you were about 6 Jamie," leaning her head to one side she appeared genuinly interested. After a few minutes she laughed slightly and shook her head. "Laziness? My dear, I will move when I am needed, for now I zink the leetle kids are behaving zemselves."

"You will be needed when hell has frozen over." Jamie said, a patronizing smile curving on her lips. The two girls were definitly a match for each other. Neither of them had ever had fights quite like they did with each other. "I'll be sure to let my mother know of your...concern." Was the only thing Jamie would say on the subject o fher mother, and sarcastically at that. Everyone knew but no one knew why.
Glancing around the compartment Jamie almost snorted. Who needed this much luggage to come to school? Though she knew if she owned as much as Cecile she'd gladly bring it with her. "Shall I send the clean up crew for your ego?" She asked the girl, who felt almost suffocated standing in the doorway from the stench of Cecile's perfume.

A look of mock shock crossed her features, those rosebud lips of hers dropping open as if Jamie had just hurled the worst insult ever at her. Making a small "oh" sound she frowned and melted her lips into a pout. "You mean I am not needed to keep zee leetle first years from accidently losing zer pets as zey do every year?" It was hardly an upsetting prospect, sitting here quietly until the train entered the station. Twirling a strand of long blonde hair she finally smiled again. "Well tell 'er I 'ope she eez battling zee addiczion well."
Whenever the two clashed, Cécile knew that Jamie would be the first one to resort to out and out insults, or to raise her voice. It had happened so many times before and they had even come close to physical violence before, until their Heads of Houses had interfered. Though she knew fighting was not lady like or suitable behaviour, there were times when she just wanted to shut her cousin up for a few blissful days. Laughing spitefully at the girls words she gave her another curious look. "Eet sounds as eef someone would rarzer be in my position thatn flustering around zee corridors, or eez my presence just zat irrezeestable?"

Whenever Jamie was around the girl bile stuck in her throat making her want to spit a loogie at her. Being around her mother and bunch of neighborhood boys her entire life Jamie had never developed the 'lady like' senses that Cecile had. The only thing that had ever prevented the two from becoming friends was their innate difference in every aspect of their lives. "I'm sure your intelligence level is not high enough to find a first years pet." Jamie rolled her eyes, the insults they spat at each otherwould only offend each other. If it were anyone else...they would have resorted to wands by now. "I'll leave you to yourself," Jamie stated, pushing off the doorframe. "It seems that the only company you're capable of keeping is with yourself." Jamie began to close the door.

Resisting the urge to laugh again she shook her head, the insults were just becoming pointless now, Jamie knew very well Cécile was one of the best students in their year, how else would she have become prefect. "Now, now couzin, lets not lower ourselves to petty insults, we owe each uzzer more zan zat now dont we?" The sickly sweet nature she took on was something she knew her cousin could not tolerate in any sense, better for Cécile to draw her wand and blast the girl through the door than act as she were now. Frowning again in mock sadness she tossed her blonde curls. "You mean you are not going to keep me companee? I am most pleasant a conversationalist after all," at times like this she hated having to translate from one language to another and how somethings came out slightly warped.

As the compartment door latch Jamie had to giggle lightly at Cecile's struggle with full english words. That was one thing Jamie had. Shaking her head Jamie pushed her mother's memory from her head and walked down the hall.

Now that the girl was gone she could at least drop the smarmy grin, rising from her seat she muttered a few curses under her breath in french, before reaching for the door and slamming it shut with all her might. No doubt Jamie would take great plasure in the sound, but Cécile did not care, the girl infuriated her. "'oo eez she to speak to me like zat?" she fumed out loud, pacing for a few seconds before throwing herself rather unelegantly back onto her bench. Maybe prefect duties would calm her down after all? Though walking the corridors did not seem too attractive an idea.

Hearing the slam of the door Jamie smirked in spite of herself. Why the two hated each other so was a great mystery. However, it remained that they did. Finsihing her rounds Jamie took residence in a seat in an empty compartment. Thankful for that fact, putting her still working earbuds in Jamie lay across the bench, preparing to nap since the sleep she'd hoped for the night before her mother had interupted with broken glass.

After a few uncomfortable moments in the compartment she sighed loudly, clearly agitated by the confrontation. Reaching into her carry on bag she pulled out the small green prefects badge and pinned it to the front of her silk dress, she did not want to get changed into her school things yet as was expected of prefects, so she merely used the badge as a sign of who she was. For added company she scooped up her small dog Aurora, kissing her lightly on the head before pulling open the compartment door and entering the corridor. To the right the trolley was beginning it's rounds so she chose the left, it would mean she could check out the other compartments before they started getting excited about sugar. Pursing her lips she peered into a few compartments, ignoring the awed looks and whispered words. At least Jamie had disappeared.

Shuffling the songs on her ipod Jamie enjoyed the feeling of music pulsing through her. She wouldn't have this luxury for months soshe was getting in as much as possible. Whaat made it better was she had no Cecile to worry about.

When she reached the last corridor she rolled her eyes immediately as they settled on the familiar sight of her cousin. It had been only around ten minutes since they had parted, and that had been enough time for the arrogant Cécile to return, sliding open the door she smirked. "I wasn't aware zat seeting on your own, leestening to some muggle invention was part of a prefects job description," amusement rang in her voice as she looked at the girl. Cécile had never involved herself in such things as muggle technology, there was always a magical alternative in her eyes.
